Rural Sector

Expertise

Because of our long heritage delivering accounting and advisory services to rural families, we understand the unique challenges faced by business owners in this sector.

We’ve made it our mission to understand not just matters relating to taxation, farm legislation or succession planning – but the agricultural sector itself. We also understand the unique pressures under which so many farmers work – as local and overseas markets, seasonal conditions, and political landscapes constantly bring changes and challenges.

Farm accounting is a specialist area and our experience enables us to provide you with information on concessions and assistance available through the taxation system and other government departments.

We also know that while many rural businesses may have traditional roots, they can be some of today’s most forward-thinking, flexible and progressive commercial organisations. From the early adoption of new technology and software, to innovative diversification into areas such as speciality crops and livestock, retail outlets and rural tourism, we work with our farming and rural business clients to achieve strong financial results in an ever-evolving industry.

Whatever your aims and aspirations – for yourself and your rural business – we look forward to helping you achieve them.

At PHA we have built close working relationships with many rural businesses – and farms in particular – over a number of years. Our rural business team have become trusted allies and advisors, giving expert advice and support to family-owned businesses across several generations.

Workshops and training

farmers must be proactive

It is critical that farmers continue to keep up to date with the latest Grain Marketing Options put out by all the Grain Companies.

Planning how to market this years harvest is critical to know before you step into the header. It is just as important as Tax Planning in April/May before the end of the financial year.

PHA is committed to helping farmers to be proactive. Tax Planning before Harvest, as well as facilitating the Farm Succession Process and Tax Minimisation prior to 30 June each year.

Throughout the year, PHA and partners conduct a series of Information Seminars and Workshops to assist the Rural Sector in becoming more profitable, tax effective and progressive farmers.

Farmers should seriously consider attending these seminars. Please contact our office for more information.
